Anthony Elanga arrived at Newcastle from Nottingham Forest in 2025 carrying plenty of expectations.
But the Sweden winger found life difficult in his debut season at St James' Park and went through the entire league campaign without finding the net.
Elanga now appears to have moved on from those struggles after an impressive opening to the new season.
The 24-year-old was on target in Newcastle's Premier League opener last weekend, when the Magpies drew 2-2 with Liverpool.
Elanga then extended his early scoring run on Saturday, producing an excellent turn and finish to give Newcastle the lead against Spurs.
Could this be the moment that marks a real turning point for the Newcastle forward?
