Manchester United have a number of young players out on loan this season.
There are senior names as well, with Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir among those spending this campaign away from Old Trafford.
Jacob Devaney completed a loan move to Hibernian this week, while Dan Gore appears close to joining Luton Town.
One of United’s busiest loanees so far this season has been Mali midfielder Sekou Kone, who is currently on loan with Swiss club FC Lausanne-Sport.
Kone has made an encouraging start to the campaign and has been involved regularly with the first team from the very beginning. He has already registered two assists and one goal after an impressive opening to the 2026/2027 season.
He was on the pitch for the full 90 minutes in his team’s tight 2-3 loss against Zurich. In that game, Kone produced two key passes and finished with an overall pass-completion rate of 82%.
The midfielder was also dependable in the moments that mattered most, recording 100% pass accuracy in his own half as he kept risk to a minimum. He also displayed his passing range by completing two long balls during the match.
Kone showed the variety in his game by carrying the ball forward 12 times, although he was unsuccessful with his only dribble attempt.
The 20-year-old is still developing, especially in the physical aspects of the game, and that proved to be a challenge for him this afternoon.
He won only two of his seven ground duels and did not manage to complete a single tackle.
However, the midfielder was more effective in the air, winning two of his three aerial contests in the middle of the park.
The Manchester United youngster also contributed defensively, making two blocks along with one clearance and one interception.
