Apart from this, repeated pulling of the cord can also loosen the charging port (C-Type or Lightning Port) of the phone, which may cost you a lot to repair.

Another big mistake is not switching off the phone before unplugging or leaving the adapter on in the wall socket. Many people unplug the phone from the data cable, but leave the charger switch on. Due to which the adapter continues to draw current and heats up. This is not only a waste of electricity, but also poses a risk of short circuiting or burning the charger. So, always make it a habit to turn off the main switch before taking out the phone or immediately after taking it out.
