Monsoon rains continue across the country The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rain in many states of the country during the next 24 to 48 hours. Due to the activity of monsoon winds in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha, there are chances of heavy rains. Apart from this, heavy showers along with thunder have also been predicted in various parts of West Bengal, Jharkhand and Odisha.
Intensity of rain will increase due to low pressure area According to meteorologists, there is a possibility of formation of a low pressure area over the coastal areas of West Bengal and North Odisha. Under its influence, heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur at some places in Odisha during August 28 to 31.
- Torrential rain is expected in the states of Northeast India—Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on Saturday.
- Moderate to heavy rain may be recorded in coastal areas of Konkan, Goa, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
- There is a danger of lightning strike along with storm in Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
Condition of hill states and plain areas An alert of heavy rain has been issued in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh on Sunday. There is a possibility of rain with strong winds in some parts of Jammu-Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad. There may be rain with thunderstorm at many places in Bihar on Saturday. The weather pattern is expected to worsen further in Jharkhand on Sunday, where heavy rain with strong winds is predicted.
How will the weather be in Delhi-NCR? At present, there is no possibility of heavy rain in the entire NCR (Delhi NCR Weather) including the national capital Delhi and Noida. According to the Meteorological Department, the sky will be partly cloudy. During this period, the maximum temperature is expected to be between 35°C to 37°C and the minimum temperature to be between 25°C to 27°C. Strong winds can blow at a speed of about 20 kilometers per hour in the evening and night, due to which the weather will remain pleasant.
