Virendra Jaiswal, resident of Soumitra Nagar, Khandwa, had a dream of appearing in ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ for the last 20-25 years. It is not that he tried for the first time and got selected. He gave auditions several times. Even in the year 2023, he had reached the ground audition, but could not be selected for the interview round. Any person would have given up after failing so many times, but Virendra stood firm. His wife Rekha Jaiswal was his biggest support system in this journey. Whenever Virendra’s confidence fell, Rekha would motivate him that ‘one day you will definitely reach that hot seat.’ And finally, his wife’s trust and Virendra’s stubbornness paid off.

Reaching the hot seat and seeing the real life ‘Angry Young Man’ in front of him was no less than the fulfillment of a big dream for Virendra. Virendra tells that meeting Amitabh Bachchan was the most emotional and memorable moment of his life. He was surprised by the fact that even at the age of 83, Big B has amazing energy. Virendra will not be able to forget his friendly manner and that two-day shoot for the rest of his life. Virendra also played the game very carefully. He continued to give correct answers and won Rs 7.30 lakh. How to reach KBC’s hot seat? This is the whole secret process

If you think that entry into KBC is achieved only by luck, then you are wrong. Virendra told that the path to reach the hot seat passes through 4-5 difficult stages.

Step 1: Registration- Promos start appearing on TV about two-two and a half months before the show starts. Big B asks a question every day, which you have to answer through SonyLIV app or WhatsApp. This is where the meter of your luck starts.

Step 2: IVR Call- If you are lucky, a computer generated (IVR) call comes to your number from the KBC team. In this, you are asked to give some basic details and answer some questions within the time limit. Virendra’s advice is to always keep the number with which you have registered active.

Step 3: Ground Audition and GK Test- Those who pass the call are called for ground audition. This is where the real test takes place. There is a tough General Knowledge (GK) test of country and world, history, science, sports and current affairs.

Step 4: Personal Interview- Personal interview takes place after passing the GK test. The KBC team examines not only your knowledge but also your personality, your life story, job and struggles. Once selected here, the team will call you later and give you good news.

Step 5: Fastest Finger First- After passing the interview, you reach the set of KBC, but to sit on the hot seat, you have to give the right answer in the shortest possible time. The one who wins here sits in front of Big B.
