New Delhi, August 30 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned the power of daughters and their flight in space in the 137th episode of Mann Ki Baat program. He said that today the flight of India's daughters is not limited to just the earth, but is reaching space.
PM Modi said, “Today the flight of power of our daughters is leaving the earth and reaching space. India is connecting thousands of daughters of the world with such dreams and the name of this effort is Mission Shaktisat.”
He said that through this mission, 12 thousand girl students from 108 countries are getting the opportunity to learn satellite technology and move forward in the field of innovation.
The Prime Minister said that on National Space Day on August 23, a beautiful picture of this mission was seen in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The second phase of Mission Shaktisat was launched at Gautam Buddha University. On this occasion, about 100 girl students from different countries of the world and India gathered together. Girl students from remote areas of India are also participating in it.
He told that the goal of this entire effort is also special. Preparations are on to send a satellite, completely prepared with the participation of girl students, into the Moon's orbit.
PM Modi said, “I am confident that many of these girl students will create a new identity for themselves in the field of science, technology and innovation in the coming times.”
Mission ShaktiSat is a global space initiative connecting 12,000 girls from 108 countries with space technology and STEM education. The objective of this mission is to bring girls forward in the field of science and technology and teach them the intricacies of satellite making and space science.
This initiative is bringing not only Indian girl students but also girls from all over the world on one platform, where they can innovate together and bring glory to India in the space sector in the future.
