JNU PG Admission 2026: Last chance for admission, register consent till 31st August

New Delhi: The process of admission to PG programs for the academic session 2026-27 in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has reached the final stage. The university has announced the start of the second and final phase of admission process to fill the remaining vacant seats. Such candidates, who have not yet got a seat in the course of their choice, will have this last opportunity for admission.

Consent will have to be registered by 31st August

According to JNU, eligible candidates can register their consent on the admission portal till 11:50 pm on August 31, 2026. Candidates are advised to check their status and available options by logging into the portal within the stipulated time.

However, candidates who have already been admitted to the seat allotted in first preference and have taken admission will not be able to appear in the final stage admission process.

The admission process will be completed by September 10

The university said that the entire process of admission to the remaining seats will be completed by September 10, 2026. Therefore, candidates have been advised to complete all the necessary formalities on time.

No extra time will be given to submit documents

JNU administration has also given clear instructions to the candidates regarding documents. No additional time will be given for submission of examination result, discontinuance certificate and relieving order after the prescribed last date.

Apart from this, reserved category, EWS and PWD category candidates will also have to submit their respective certificates within the stipulated time. If documents are not provided on time, the admission process of the candidate may be affected.

Important advice for candidates

JNU has asked the candidates to check their status, seat allotment and required documents on the admission portal timely. The deadline for the final stage is very important, so candidates should complete all the necessary procedures before the scheduled time to avoid any problem.
