PM Modi received Uzbekistan's highest honour, so far honored by 36 countries

New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been honored with Uzbekistan's highest state award 'Oli Darajali Dustalik'. Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev honored PM Modi with his hands. On this occasion, PM Modi said, I accept this highest honor with full humility. I dedicate this to the centuries-old friendship and shared heritage between the two countries. Your visionary leadership and your friendship towards India have continuously strengthened our ties.

Earlier in July 2026, PM Modi was honored with Indonesia's highest civilian honor 'Bintang Adipurna of the Republic of Indonesia'. The number of international honors received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from foreign countries has increased to 35.

India and Uzbekistan on Sunday agreed to enhance cooperation in the fields of trade and investment, digital connectivity, defense and energy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held delegation-level talks with Uzbekistani President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Tashkent. Both countries stressed on taking forward the strategic partnership and working towards achieving common development goals. Let us tell you that Prime Minister Modi is on a two-day state visit to Uzbekistan from 29 to 30 August.
