This small budget film, which hit the theaters on August 7, has made a strong hold in front of big star-cast films like ‘Awarapan 2’ and ‘Toxic’.

‘Hanuman Ansh’ Box Office: ‘Hanuman Ansh’, made for 2 crores, created a stir in the fourth week, earning crossed 38 crores.

After a slow start, the pace picked up in the third week

Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the film is based on the spiritual journey and faith of the famous saint Neem Karoli Baba (Maharaj-ji). Shobhinav Satya has played the role of Maharaj-ji in the film. The film did a business of only Rs 10 lakh on the first day of release and the total earning in the first two weeks was reduced to Rs 1.48 crore.

After the initial slowdown, the atmosphere completely changed from the third week due to positive word-of-mouth publicity from the audience on social media. The film collected more than Rs 10 crore in the third week.

48% jump in fourth weekend

There was a big upswing in the collection of Hanuman Ansh in the fourth week:

  • Fourth Friday: ₹6.25 crore
  • Fourth Saturday: ₹9.25 crore (up 48.37%)
  • Day 24 (Sunday): ₹10.74 crore

With this stellar performance, the total collection of the film so far has reached Rs 38.12 crore, which is 19 times more than its cost price.

Made its place between ‘Toxic’ and ‘Spider-Man’

The success of this film is also considered special because it had to share screen space with big releases like Yash’s much talked about film ‘Toxic’, ‘Awarapan 2’ and Hollywood’s ‘Spider-Man’. While big budget films seemed to be slowing down by the third week, ‘Hanuman Ansh’ shows were recorded houseful in many cities.

Impact on audiences and theaters

Considering the demand, single screen and multiplex owners have increased the shows of the film. According to trade pundits, the direct audience engagement despite limited promotions has made the film one of the biggest surprise hits of 2026.
