Toxic box office collection day 5 earns more than Rs 200 crore

Yash’s Toxic had created a stir at the box office with a grand opening of more than Rs 100 crore, but after this the pace of the film’s earnings continued to slow down. There was no significant jump in the film’s collection even on the fifth day. Although the film has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark at the domestic box office, its earnings have come down significantly compared to the opening day.

On the fifth day, Toxic collected a net collection of around Rs 23 crore in India. In terms of language, the Hindi version remained at the forefront, while the Kannada version showed a strong hold despite less shows. However, despite this, Yash’s film has overtaken the Lifetime India Net Earnings of Suriya’s ‘Karuppu’ and Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’.

How much did Toxic earn on the fifth day?

According to preliminary data of trade website Sacnilk, ‘Toxic’ did a net business of around Rs 23 crore in India on Sunday i.e. the fifth day of its release. With this, the total domestic earning of the film has reached Rs 214.10 crore. The total occupancy of the film show on Sunday was around 25.3 percent. On this day the film got 16,241 shows across the country. The film had earned Rs 25.15 crore on Saturday. That means, on the fifth day, a slight decline of about 8.5 percent was recorded in the earnings.

How was the earnings according to language on the fifth day?

If we talk about different languages, the Hindi version remained at the forefront on the fifth day. The number of Hindi shows of the film was also the highest. A total of 11,734 shows were held in Hindi on Sunday and it yielded a net collection of around Rs 14.50 crore. The theater occupancy of the Hindi version was 24 percent.
At the same time, the Kannada version performed well despite less shows. It got 1,297 shows and earned around Rs 6.40 crore from this language. The occupancy of the Kannada version was 50 percent, which was much better than other languages.
Talking about the Telugu version, the film collected approximately Rs 1.40 crore from 1,541 shows. During this period its occupancy was around 23 percent.
Apart from this, the Tamil version did a business of about Rs 60 lakh through 1,416 shows. Whereas in Malayalam, the film got 253 shows and this version collected around Rs 10 lakh.

Which films did you beat?

Despite the decline in box office collections, the film has left behind the Lifetime India Net Earnings of Suriya’s ‘Karuppu’ and Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’. However, if compared with Yash’s blockbuster film ‘KGF Chapter 2’, ‘Toxic’ is far behind. KGF Chapter 2 had a net collection of Rs 430.15 crore in India in five days of its release.
