According to the Meteorological Department, the low pressure area formed near North-West Bay of Bengal and West Bengal-North Odisha coast is still active. Its impact may increase rainfall activity in eastern and central India. Due to heavy rainfall, low-lying areas may be inundated and flash floods may occur. The risk of landslides and mudslides has also increased in hilly areas. IMD has issued rain warning for Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Kerala.
