Ingredients to make Garlic Paneer

for green paste

  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup green coriander
  • 10-12 garlic cloves
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1 inch ginger

  • 2 tbsp whipped curd

For Paneer Gravy

  • 2-3 tbsp oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon fennel
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 7-8 garlic cloves
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • salt as per taste
  • ½ tbsp ground coriander
  • 2 green chillies
  • prepared green paste
  • 800 grams paneer, cut into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon crushed black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

How to make Garlic Paneer

1. Prepare green paste

First of all, add mint, green coriander, garlic, green chilli, ginger, salt and whipped curd in a vessel. Put everything in the mixer and grind it well. Prepare a soft paste of it and keep it aside.

2. Season with spices

Now place the pan on the gas and heat oil in it. After the oil is hot, add cumin, fennel and bay leaves and let it crackle. After this add finely chopped or grated garlic.

When the garlic turns light golden, add finely chopped onion and fry for 2-4 minutes. Cook the onion until its color turns light golden brown.

3. Prepare gravy

Now add coriander, green chilli and salt as per taste in the pan. After frying the spices well for some time, add the prepared green paste.

Cook the paste on medium flame for about 7-8 minutes. When the gravy is cooked well and oil starts separating from the edges, then understand that the masala is ready.

4. Add cheese and do the final touch

Now add paneer pieces in the prepared gravy. If you want, you can add the paneer after lightly frying it or use it directly.

Mix the paneer well with the gravy and let it cook for a few minutes. Finally add crushed black pepper and lemon juice and mix well.

Take out the prepared garlic paneer in a serving bowl. Garnish with kasoori methi, fried green chillies, coriander leaves and lemon slices.
