Lifestyle Desk – Butter is considered very dear to Lord Krishna. This is the reason why the tradition of offering butter and sugar candy to Kanha on the occasion of Janmashtami is still followed in many homes. If you also want to make some easy and traditional Prasad for Laddu Gopal on this Janmashtami, then Makhan-Mishri is a great option. It does not take much time to make it and it does not require much material. Let us know how to make it.

These ingredients are needed for butter and sugar candy

To make Makhan-Mishri, you will mainly need fresh white butter and sugar candy. To enhance the taste and aroma, a little cardamom powder and finely chopped dry fruits can also be added to it. You can keep the quantity of ingredients for Prasad as per your need.

Material

Fresh white butter-1 cup
Mishri-2 to 3 tablespoons
Cardamom-2 to 3 finely ground
Almonds-Pistachios-1 tbsp chopped
some saffron threads

Make butter-mishri like this

  • First of all, take fresh white butter in a clean bowl. If butter is kept in the refrigerator, then keep it at room temperature for some time, so that it becomes a little soft. Now add sugar candy to it and mix gently.
  • After this add crushed cardamom and finely chopped almonds and pistachios. If you want to make the Prasad a little special, you can also add some saffron threads to it. After mixing everything well, cool the butter-mishri for some time.
  • Before offering it, take it out in a clean and beautiful bowl. If you wish, you can decorate it with sugar candy and dry fruits and offer it to Lord Krishna.

Homemade butter will make the food even more special

If you have time, you can use fresh white butter extracted at home instead of market butter. Traditionally, butter prepared from milk cream is considered special in the offering of Kanha. By mixing butter with sugar candy, its taste also becomes very delicious.
