West Asia tension impacts the market, investors get hurt

Due to increasing tension in West Asia, the price of crude oil rose today, due to which the Indian stock market collapsed under its pressure. Today’s trading also started with weakness.

After the market opened, the movement of both the Sensex and Nifty indices appeared to be improving for some time due to the support of buying, but after some time selling pressure started building in the market.

Due to continuous selling of shares, both these indices kept falling continuously. However, in the last hour of trading, buyers once again tried to create buying pressure, due to which there was some improvement in the position of both these indices.

After the entire day’s trading, Sensex closed with a weakness of 0.40 percent and Nifty with a weakness of 0.39 percent. Due to market weakness, investors’ wealth reduced by Rs 3.79 lakh crore today.

BSE Sensex opened today at 77,130.73 points with a decline of 133.78 points or 0.17 percent. As soon as trading started, buyers started buying, due to which within a short time the index jumped to the level of 77,177.27 points.

After this selling started in the market. Due to continuous selling of shares, the Sensex slipped 513.19 points or 0.66 percent to 76,751.32 points shortly after 11 pm.

After this, buyers tried to create buying pressure, due to which the movement of this index started improving. Especially, around 2:30 pm buyers started buying continuously.

With the support of this buying, Sensex recovered 205.95 points from the day’s low and closed at 76,957.27 points with a weakness of 307.24 points or 0.40 percent.

Like the Sensex, NSE’s Nifty today fell 58.10 points or 0.24 percent and started trading at 24,117.55 points.

Due to buying started as soon as the market opened, this index showed a rise to 24,128.70 points within some time with the support of buying. After this there was selling pressure in the market.

Due to continuous selling of shares, after the first two hours of trading, by 11:15 pm, Nifty fell by 182.05 points or 0.75 percent to reach the level of 23,993.60 points.

After this, after buying started in the market, the decline of this index stopped. In the last hour of trading, buyers intensified their buying, due to which Nifty improved 86.80 points from the day’s low and closed at 24,080.40 points, down 95.25 points or 0.39 percent.

Today, there was heavy selling of shares in the metal sector during the day’s trading. Due to heavy selling, Nifty metal index closed down by 2.42 percent.

Similarly, the media sector also fell victim to selling pressure and fell by more than two percent. Apart from this, IT, Automobile, Capital Goods, Consumer Durables, FMCG, Healthcare and Oil & Gas indices also closed in the red with weakness.

On the other hand, shares of banking and public sector enterprise sectors continued to be bought today. Despite market weakness, Nifty banking index closed with a gain of 0.92 percent.

There was mixed trading in the broader market today. Nifty Midcap index closed with a gain of 0.24 percent. On the other hand, the Smallcap index ended today’s trading with a decline of 0.74 per cent.

Today, due to the fall in the stock market, the wealth of stock market investors reduced by more than Rs 4.4 lakh crore.

The market capitalization of BSE listed companies declined to Rs 490.33 lakh crore (provisional) after today’s trading.

Their market capitalization on the last trading day of last week i.e. Friday was Rs 494.12 lakh crore. In this way, investors suffered a loss of about Rs 3.79 lakh crore from today’s trading.

During the day’s trading today, there was active trading in 4,680 shares in BSE. Of these, 1,858 shares closed with gains, while 2,572 shares were in decline and 250 shares closed without any movement.

Similarly, there was active trading in 3,238 shares in NSE today. Of these, 1,160 shares closed in the green after earning profit and 2,078 shares closed in the red after incurring a loss.

Similarly, out of 30 shares included in Sensex, seven shares closed with gains and 23 shares closed with decline. Out of 50 stocks included in Nifty, 20 stocks closed in the green mark and 30 stocks closed in the red mark.

After the day’s trading today, among the stock market giants, Sun Pharmaceuticals joined the list of today’s top 5 gainers with a gain of 3.38 percent, Nestle 2.88 percent, Axis Bank 2.77 percent, Max Healthcare 2.76 percent and Grasim Industries 2.46 percent.

On the other hand, Adani Enterprises joined the list of today’s top 5 losers with a weakness of 9.76 per cent, Adani Ports 6.70 per cent, ITC 3.95 per cent, Bharti Airtel 3.75 per cent and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited (TMPV) 3.30 per cent.
