Samajwadi Party national president and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that there is not much time left for the assembly elections. The party will start campaigning at the booth level from Wednesday. He said that corruption, injustice and atrocities are at their peak in the BJP government. All the district presidents of SP will expose the corruption and alleged injustice of the government in their respective districts to the public in the next two weeks.

In a press conference held on Monday after the meeting of district and metropolitan presidents and booth level officials at the SP state office, Akhilesh Yadav also made serious allegations against the government regarding the voter list. He claimed that Form-7 is being filled even after special thorough revision of the voter list. He alleged that in the name of annual review before the elections, BJP may try to attract voters in its favor. He called it a big conspiracy in Uttar Pradesh.

Accused of discrimination against PDA

Akhilesh Yadav accused the BJP government of discriminating against backward, Dalit and minority classes. He said that even in the police system, these classes are allegedly being discriminated against. Raising the issue of deaths in police custody and alleged fake encounters, he said that if the Samajwadi Party government is formed, all the fake encounters that took place during the tenure of the previous government will be investigated.

Referring to the incidents in Badaun and Varanasi, he raised questions on the law and order of the government. Referring to the death of 28-year-old Rajesh Kori in police custody in Badaun, he also raised questions on the claims of the police. Akhilesh said deaths in police custody are often attributed to heart attacks and these cases should be investigated impartially.

BJP cornered for making video with AI

The SP president also targeted BJP over the videos being made against him through artificial intelligence (AI) on social media. He said that making such videos is not appropriate in politics. He claimed that Samajwadi Party is also not lagging behind in the use of technology, but party workers have been asked not to make objectionable videos against anyone.

Akhilesh said that the Samajwadi government had already provided laptops to the students and in future too, decisions would be taken to help the students as per the changing technology.

Government cornered on inflation and unemployment

Akhilesh Yadav also attacked the BJP government on inflation, unemployment and corruption. He alleged that the government was selling government properties and corruption and commission taking were taking place in various projects. He sought a response from the government, citing JPNIC, Chhatar Manzil, Kisan Bazaar, bus stand and other properties.

He said that the development model of the BJP government is allegedly based on commissioneering and privatization of government assets. He also alleged irregularities in the maintenance of Agra-Lucknow Expressway and the Public Works Department.

Questions also on the issue of farmers and youth

The SP President accused the farmers of not getting fertilizers and not getting fair prices for various crops including potato, maize, mustard. He said that farmers and cattle herders are not even getting fair price for milk.

On the issue of unemployment, he said that the youth did not get adequate employment in the last years. Questioning the Chief Minister's claim of providing one lakh jobs in six months, he said that only a few months are left for the government's tenure to end and now such promises are being made.

Questions raised on floods and law and order

Akhilesh Yadav targeted the government regarding the flood and waterlogging situation in Chitrakoot, Banda and Prayagraj. He said that despite huge expenditure of money in Prayagraj, the problem of floods and waterlogging still persists.

Raising questions on the law and order of the state, he said that incidents of crime remain a matter of constant concern. Akhilesh said that Samajwadi Party is in favor of caste census and wants that all classes should get rights and respect in proportion to their population.

Akhilesh Yadav said that Samajwadi Party gave projects like Expressway, HCL and Ekana Stadium in the state and did many development works. He said that the party will work for the development of the state with positive and progressive politics in future also.
