Uttarakhand News: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the youth contemporary dialogue program organized in the Soban Singh Jeena auditorium of a private school located in the Sanatan Dharamshala campus in Khatima. After starting the program by lighting the lamp, the Chief Minister directly interacted with the students. About 360 students from 18 different schools participated in this special dialogue. The students asked questions to the Chief Minister on important topics like employment, tourism, environment, new technology and disaster management, to which the Chief Minister answered in a very simple, clear and intuitive manner.

Strong stance against corruption

Addressing the youth, the Chief Minister said that providing completely transparent and honest governance in the state is the biggest priority of his government. The identity of Devbhoomi should be completely clean and strong. He told the students that the state government is working on a policy of zero tolerance against corruption. If any officer or employee asks for bribe in exchange for work or applies undue pressure, citizens can lodge their complaint on toll free number 1064 or mobile app without any fear. In this system, the name of the person making the complaint is kept completely secret and the special investigation team takes immediate action.

The path of development through determination without options

Sharing his vision, the Chief Minister said that his dream is to build such an Uttarakhand where the youth do not have to go out of the state for higher education, better employment and to hone their skills. Good health facilities, modern schools-colleges and excellent roads are being built in the state. He said that we have priceless assets like Himalayas, rivers, forest wealth, fertile land and skilled human resources. By making proper use of all these natural and human resources, the government is moving forward with a resolve without any option to include the state among the leading states of the country.

First priority for marginal villages

Answering the question of student Alya on the development of marginal areas, the Chief Minister said that the Central and State Governments together are bringing historic changes under the Vibrant Village Programme. Frontier villages are not the last end of the country but the first villages of India. With this thinking, paved roads, clean drinking water, electricity, good hospitals and modern schools are being provided to these border areas. He said that to stop migration from border areas, new employment opportunities are being created at the local level so that the youth can get better livelihood near their homes. In the coming time, special schemes will also be started for marginal areas.

Balance between development and environment

On the question asked by Class 11 student Rekha on disaster management and environmental balance, the Chief Minister said that the natural beauty and wealth of Uttarakhand is the biggest heritage of the state. Referring to the relief and rescue operations during recent disasters, he said that the government's aim is to accelerate the pace of development, but this development will not be at the cost of nature. Sustainable development of the state is being ensured only by striking the right balance between environmental protection and expansion of infrastructure.

New avenues of jobs for youth

Encouraging the students preparing for competitive examinations, the Chief Minister said that everyone should live a disciplined life and have positive thinking. He said that till now the state government has given government jobs to 34 thousand youth in a transparent manner. The recruitment processes have been made completely fair and in the future too, new doors of employment and career will continue to open for the youth.

Uttarakhand growing rapidly in tourism sector

Answering the question of student Abdul regarding the influx of tourists, the Chief Minister said that tourism in the state has got new energy due to modern roads, air services and expansion of homestay policy. There has been a huge increase in the number of tourists coming from India and abroad to beautiful places like Munsiyari, Champawat, Kausani, Berinag, Chaukodi and Adi Kailash. He said that it is the effect of better infrastructure that the number of tourists coming to the state every year has crossed 7 to 8 crores.

During the program many other students also asked useful questions to the development of the state. Public representatives, senior officials of the district administration and police administration were also present in this entire event.
