Mirzapur: Unknown thieves stole cash and jewelery worth lakhs of rupees from the house of a woman who had gone to her parents' house on Rakshabandhan in Nifra village of Vindhyachal region. Kusum Yadav, wife of police station Vindhyachal, had gone to her maternal home in Mahuari Kala on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. While Rajkumar Yadav is a truck driver and is out of the house. When wife Kusum Yadav returned home after about four days on Monday, she found the lock of the box broken. On reaching inside, things were scattered in the rooms and the locks of the boxes were also broken.

According to the victim's family, thieves stole around Rs 50 thousand in cash and jewelery worth around Rs 5 lakh from the house. There is a suspicion of theft through the shutter installed at the back of the house. Information about the incident was given to the police through Hundred Dial. The victim's family has informed Vindhyachal police station about the incident through an application. Police is busy investigating the matter and CCTV cameras installed nearby can also be examined. Police station in-charge Vindhyachal said that information about the case has been received and investigation is being done.
