Himachal Nirmand Massive landslide: The havoc of nature was seen in Nirmand of Kullu in the hilly state of Himachal Pradesh. A massive landslide occurred in Nirmand of the district on Monday without any rain. Only about 200 meters of road has disappeared after this landslide. Due to this, Bagipul-Jaon route has been blocked. On Monday (31st August) morning in Nirmand sub-division, suddenly an entire mountain cracked and fell on the road. Due to this terrible landslide, Bagipul-Jaon Road has been completely blocked, due to which long queues of vehicles have formed on both sides.

Tourists are facing a lot of problems
It is a matter of relief that at the time when heavy debris and big stones fell from the hill, there was no vehicle directly below it, otherwise a major accident could have happened.
Due to road closure, local travelers and tourists are facing a lot of trouble.
District Disaster Management Authority Alert Mode
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA Kullu) immediately came on alert mode. Information about the matter has been given to Police Control Room, PWD's SDO (Aani), JE (Nirmand) and XEN (Aani). Administration and Public Works Department (PWD) teams have reached the spot with heavy machinery and the work of removing debris from the road is going on a war footing.
