Before refuelling, it is crucial to know the latest fuel prices in your city or at your nearest petrol pump; these rates are updated daily at 6 AM.
The day now begins not just with the sun's rays but also with new petrol and diesel rates. Staying informed is essential as these prices significantly impact the common man's pocket. Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) update petrol and diesel rates every morning at 6 AM. Since today is the first of the month, there is a strong possibility of price changes. However, for your convenience, please note that petrol and diesel prices remain stable today, September 1; no new price changes have been implemented.

Why didn't prices rise today?
When international oil prices surged in May, oil companies raised fuel prices by ₹3 to ₹4 per litre to offset their losses. Generally, oil companies maintain market balance by keeping prices stable rather than immediately passing the burden of minor global fluctuations on to consumers. Admittedly, Brent crude prices in the global market are currently hovering around $90–$91 per barrel, though prices have remained stable. This contrasts with the significant volatility observed in earlier months, driven by escalating tensions between Iran, the US, and Israel, as well as the prospect of a prolonged closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
