England vs Pakistan 3rd Test: These days the Pakistan team is on a tour of England, where a 3-match Test series is being played between the two teams. The England team has already achieved an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. After losing two consecutive matches, there was panic in the Pakistan Cricket Board and the PCB made major changes in the Test team even before the last match of the series. Changes were made in the team as well as the coaching staff.
PCB has included new players by dropping not 1 or 2 players from the team. Apart from this, the head coach and bowling coach have also been removed. Whose 2 new coaches have been appointed immediately. Pakistan has to play the last match of the series on September 9, in which a changed team is going to take the field.
Which 7 players were dropped?
According to the PCB announcement, Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Ali Aga, Ali Usman, Aamir Jamal, Mohammad Awais Zafar and Khurram Shahzad have been dropped from the Test team. This change has been made in the team after Pakistan’s disappointing performance in the first two matches. The board will now try to make a comeback in the third test with new players.
Which 7 players got the place?
In place of the released players, PCB has included Saim Ayub, Abdullah Fazal, Arafat Minhas, Saad Baig, Muhammad Randhawa, Razaullah and Muhammad Imran Jr. in the team. Five of these players have already played for Pakistan in international cricket. This opportunity is special for Muhammad Randhawa and Razaullah, because they have not played any international match for Pakistan yet.
What changes in the coaching staff also?
PCB has made changes in the players as well as the coaching staff. The board has removed head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul from their posts. In his place, the responsibility of head coach has been given to Mike Hesson and the role of bowling coach has been given to Ashley Noffke. Now with the new coaching staff, Pakistan will try to change its strategy and team combination in the third test.
How is the experience of new players?
Saim Ayub has played 8 test matches for Pakistan, while Abdullah Fazal has 2 test matches to his name. Whereas left-arm spin bowling all-rounder Arafat Minhas has played 3 ODI and 4 T20 international matches. Wicketkeeper-batsman Saad Baig has also been included in the team. He has been the Player of the Tournament in the 2025-26 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.
