Apple's John Ternus: John Ternes, the new CEO of the world's leading tech company Apple, has taken over as CEO. John Ternus has taken over the responsibility of the new CEO of Apple from September 1, 2026. At the same time, Tim Cook will now play his role as Executive Chairman of Apple's Board of Directors. John Ternes started his career with Apple as an engineer in 2001 and worked at the company for nearly 25 years, working on products like iPhone, iPad, AirPods and Mac. In the year 2021, he was given the responsibility of Senior Vice President and also joined the large leadership team of Apple.
After leaving the post of CEO, Tim Cook thanked the people associated with Apple. He said that he has a lot of gratitude for Apple.

The biggest challenge facing Ternus is their artificial intelligence (AI) strategy. They will have to choose between maintaining their stance of prioritizing privacy or moving towards personalizing data using AI, the direction in which rival companies like Google and Meta are moving.
Just eight days after taking over, Ternes will make his debut as CEO at the event on September 9, which is expected to introduce Apple's first foldable iPhone as well as the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
