Pakistan’s ‘photograph’ action at the SCO Summit now seems to be overshadowing it. After removing the picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the group photo and posting it, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his PMO were criticized on social media. From the Indian side, Prime Minister Modi shared the entire group photo without any cropping, in which Shahbaz Sharif is also clearly visible.
When the matter escalated, Shahbaz Sharif also took a U-turn and shared the same original picture from his official account. That is, first the photo was ‘cropped’, then after the uproar it was reversed – this action of Pakistan is now much discussed on social media. The matter came into discussion when the picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was removed from the group photo shared on social media by the Prime Minister’s Office of Pakistan.
In the picture shared from the official social media handle of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, all the leaders are seen together, in which Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is also present, that is, the picture of the same program, but two different versions of it were seen on social media. After this, debate and trolling started on social media regarding Pakistan’s post.
SCO’s group photo became the center of discussion
A traditional group photo session of leaders of member countries took place during the SCO Summit. During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Russian President Vladimir Putin, China’s President Xi Jinping, Iran’s President Masood Pejeshkian and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and other leaders were seen together in the picture. This picture was part of the formal photo session held during the conference. Prime Minister Modi also shared the picture of this occasion on his social media account. The special thing was that Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was also clearly visible in the picture shared by Modi.
What changed in the post of Pakistan PMO?
The frame looked different in the picture shared on social media by the Prime Minister’s Office of Pakistan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was not visible in this picture. Along with this, Iran’s President Masood Pejeshkian was also not seen in that frame. Due to this, the question arose on social media whether the picture was deliberately cropped and posted? The difference in comparison to the available photos clearly became a topic of discussion and people started raising questions about the post of Pakistan PMO.

An interesting aspect in this whole matter is that not only Prime Minister Narendra Modi was visible in Pakistan’s post, but Iran’s President Masood Pejeshkian was also not in that frame of the picture. This is the reason why different types of reactions were seen regarding this picture on social media. If the photo was cropped by the Pakistan PMO to keep the Indian Prime Minister out of the frame, then due to the same cropping, the photo of the President of Iran was also removed. Regarding this point, social media users raised questions on Pakistan’s post.
In such a situation, it can be seen that first Pakistan made itself known all over the world and then finally Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif himself has given clarification by sharing the photo from his account so that the matter gets calmed down, after which it is being said that Pakistan changes color faster than a chameleon.
