There is a plan to equip this township to be developed along the Agra-Lucknow Expressway with modern facilities. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath can launch it.

New township will be developed in 6580 acres

Expansion of Varun Vihar Yojana is proposed in an area of ​​about 6580 acres. LDA is preparing to develop it as a major township of Lucknow. After the scheme is fully developed, it is estimated that about 3.5 lakh people will get housing facilities.

A statue of Lord Varun is also being installed at the main entrance of the scheme. This also shows an attempt to give religious and cultural identity to the scheme.

Preparation of 3600 plots in the first phase

Preparations are on to conduct a lottery of about 3600 residential plots in the first phase for those wishing to buy land in Varun Vihar Yojana. Plots of different sizes and categories are likely to be made available.

After the start of the lottery process, detailed information to plot size, price and eligibility will be made available to the applicants by LDA.

Price can be Rs 2500 to 2800 per square foot

In the proposed scheme, the price of plots is expected to be around Rs 2500 to Rs 2800 per square foot. However, this is a tentative rate and the final price will be clear only after the official announcement by LDA.

In addition to the base price of the plot, freehold, development charges and other stipulated charges may also be applicable. Therefore, it will be important to know the complete cost before purchasing.

Development worth Rs 1000 crore in the first phase

LDA is preparing to spend about Rs 1000 crore on infrastructure in the initial phase of the scheme. Under this, roads, drainage, sewer, electricity, water and other necessary facilities will be developed. The objective of the scheme is not just to provide plots, but to create a systematic and modern residential area.

Expressway will provide better connectivity

The biggest feature of Varun Vihar Yojana is considered to be its location. It will be developed along the Agra-Lucknow Expressway. With the connectivity of the expressway, the possibilities of development of business and other facilities along with residential activities can increase in the future.

The launch of this big housing scheme in Lucknow before the assembly elections 2027 is being considered important from both political and developmental point of view. After the launch of the scheme by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the process to sale of plots and lottery can move forward.

However, the final price of the plot, date of application, eligibility and official procedure of lottery will have to be awaited for the announcement of LDA.
