12 thousand people were evacuated safely

Large-scale rescue operations are being carried out continuously by security forces and relief teams in the flood affected areas. So far, about 12 thousand people have been evacuated safely. According to the information, the government has deployed more than 21,300 security personnel in relief and rescue operations. At the same time, food, medicines and other essential items are being delivered to the people stranded in remote areas through helicopters.

However, weather still remains a major challenge in relief operations. It is raining intermittently in many areas and there is a danger of floods again due to the rise in the water level of the rivers. Due to this, alert has been issued in many areas including Rasuwa and Nuwakot.

Road and network transport badly affected

After the floods in Nepal, the road and transport network has also been badly affected. Let us tell you, at least 19 motorable bridges have been washed away, while many major roads and highways have been damaged, due to which many areas have been cut off from other parts. At the same time, the damage to the Rasuwagadhi border road has also affected Nepal’s land trade with China. Apart from this, hydropower projects and other infrastructure built on the banks of rivers have also been damaged.

Fake video on social media increases concern

Amidst the disaster, fake, old and AI-made videos are also becoming increasingly viral on social media. Nepal’s Press Council has received 101 complaints to misleading content. Officials have appealed to people to verify any information before trusting it and to follow only official and reliable sources.
