Harvey Elliott has completed a season-long loan transfer to Valencia from Premier League side Liverpool for the remainder of the season.

The 23-year-old, who joined Liverpool from Fulham in 2019, has made 149 appearances and scored 15 goals for the Reds.

“I wanted the opportunity to come here, play regularly and experience a different league. I’m very grateful to Valencia CF for giving me that opportunity. I feel ready to get started, but ultimately, it’s down to the coach whether he wants to put me in,” Elliott said in a statement on the Valencia website.

“I want to create my own history with the club this season. I want to help the team go as far as possible and, hopefully, qualify for European football -because I believe this club deserve that. It’s an incredible club, and I think the fans deserve to enjoy that experience again.”

His career includes Premier League titles in 2019–20 and 2024–25, as well as winners’ medals in the UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, League Cup and FA Cup with Liverpool.

This is Elliott’s second consecutive loan spell, having spent last year with fellow Premier League side Aston Villa. However, he played just 109 minutes in the Premier League as Villa looked to not meet the criteria for his 35 million pound release clause.

Manager Unai Emery also apologised to Elliott for the situation as his loan deal came to an end, describing the situation as “embarassing.”
