Reiterating its commitment towards prompt, transparent and quality disposal of complaints of the general public, Sonbhadra Police has once again performed excellently. In the ranking released for the month of August-2026 on the IGRS (Integrated Grievance Redressal System) portal of Uttar Pradesh Government, Sonbhadra Police has secured the first position in the entire state. The district has got 100 marks out of 100 for this achievement.

It is noteworthy that in the IGRS ranking for the month of July-2026, Sonbhadra Police had secured the first position* in the entire state. Thus, by securing first position in the state for the second consecutive month, Sonbhadra Police has shown its excellent functioning and effective monitoring in the field of complaint redressal.

This achievement is the result of the efficient leadership of Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra Abhishek Verma, regular monitoring, continuous review of complaints and timely guidelines given to the officers. Effective supervision was done by the Superintendent of Police by giving top priority to quality, impartial and timely disposal of every complaint, as a result of which the district police continuously achieved this important achievement.

As per the intention of the government, Sonbhadra Police ensured on-site verification of the complaints received on the IGRS portal, communication with the complainant and resolution as per the rules. On the basis of quality and effectiveness of complaint redressal, the district got the highest position in the state.

Out of total 22 police stations in Sonbhadra district, 20 police stations performed excellently by scoring 100 out of 100, which shows the team spirit, better functioning and dedication of police officers and employees towards public service.

Getting the first position in the state for two consecutive months shows the sensitivity of Sonbhadra Police towards public complaints, accountability and commitment to quality policing.
