With the rise in crude oil prices, there is growing apprehension that petrol and diesel rates might also increase. However, there is some relief as fuel prices remain unchanged from yesterday's levels.
Crude oil is under pressure due to the hostility between the US and Iran. Global prices are currently hovering around $91 per barrel. High crude oil prices are a cause for concern for a country like India, given its near-total dependence on imports.
State-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) are on high alert following the recent hike in ATF (jet fuel) prices by up to 5.46% and the increase in commercial LPG rates. Amid this volatility and geopolitical tension, oil companies have released today's petrol and diesel rates.
