Lucknow University Student Protest: Students protested on Tuesday against the decision to increase hostel fees in Lucknow University. A large number of students surrounded the Vice Chancellor (VC) office of the university and demanded withdrawal of the fee hike. The students allege that the university administration has suddenly increased the hostel fees, which will increase the financial burden on the students.

Fee increased from 7 thousand to 27 thousand

According to the information, the fees of Ranveer Singh Hostel of Lucknow University has been increased from Rs 7 thousand to Rs 27 thousand. Students say that this increase is almost four times, which is difficult for them to accept. At the same time, the university administration says that the fees have been changed keeping in mind the maintenance and facilities done in the hostel.

Students asked for account of expenses

The protesting students said that if any expenditure has been incurred in the name of maintenance in the hostel, then the administration should make its complete details public. The question of the students is why the entire burden of maintenance is being put only on the students.
