Prasidh Krishna walked away from India's two-Test tour of Sri Lanka with more than just a series win; he earned the Impact Player of the Series award, a testament to his tireless bowling effort in conditions that offered little help for pacers.

With Jasprit Bumrah missing from the attack, Krishna stepped up as India's most effective specialist fast bowler. He finished with seven wickets at an impressive average of 24.57, with best figures of 3/52, consistently troubling Sri Lankan batters with his bounce and accuracy.

The award was presented by India's performance analyst, Hari Prasad, who lauded Krishna's relentless preparation. In a video shared by BCCI, Prasad said, "The Impact Player of the Series goes to someone who put in the hard yards, made the ball talk, and kept asking the right questions to the batters even in these adverse conditions. Ever since we landed in Colombo, he had been on my ears asking for a lot of data. Honestly, if there is someone in this team who could have a second job as an analyst, it would be him. For his relentlessness, wickets, impact, and way too many questions for me which I enjoy, it is Prasidh Krishna."

India clinched the series 1-0, winning the first Test in Galle by 165 runs before the second Test in Colombo ended in a draw. The bowlers dominated for long stretches, bowling Sri Lanka out for 290 after India declared at 503/9. Although the hosts fought back with 429/9 in their second innings to save the match, India's overall performance was commanding.

Spinner Manav Suthar led the wicket charts with 16 scalps, while Ravindra Jadeja chipped in with eight. But it was Krishna's pace and persistence that stood out, especially on surfaces that traditionally favour spin.

Accepting the award, Krishna humbly credited his teammates and support staff. "Nothing would be possible without each one of you. I think everybody, the ones playing obviously got the credit they were due, but everybody around, it takes a lot during a Test match. We did such long practices every session to see all of you lock up," he said.

For a bowler who has often been in the shadows of India's pace greats, this series was a reminder that Krishna is ready to lead the attack whenever called upon. His impact wasn't just in wickets; it was in the energy, the questions he asked of batters, and the quiet determination he brought to every spell.
