Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claims it has launched ballistic missile attacks on Prince Hassan Air Base and a US Marine base in Jordan in retaliation.

According to the reports of Al Jazeera, Arab News, Gulf News and CBS News, in his first message after the resumption of attacks between Washington and Tehran, Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has said that this time Iran’s army will give such pain to America, which it will never forget.

Kuwait says air defense systems are actively responding to drone attacks. Bahrain said its air defense system successfully intercepted and destroyed drones coming from Iran.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) said its forces launched several attacks on Iranian targets on September 1. This action was taken in response to attempts to attack commercial ships and American troops.

Meanwhile, Iran’s government media has broadcast reports of explosions in southern areas. According to reports, powerful explosions occurred in Asluyeh, Jiroft, Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, Konarak, Chabahar, Jask, Sirik and Lawan.

Iran’s Red Crescent said at least four people, including a child, were killed and more than 50 civilians were injured in the attack on a wedding venue in the town of Quhestak in Sirik county.

Red Crescent gave this information on X. The Iranian government said the wedding venue was razed to the ground after the US attack. Sirik County is located along the Strait of Hormuz.

Iranian media on Tuesday reported explosions in several cities along and east of the Strait of Hormuz, as well as at an airport in the southern Kerman province. Iran has been at war with America since February 28.

On the same date, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic Ali Khamenei and senior military officers were killed in a coordinated US-Israeli military strike. After this, Iran attacked American supporting countries in the Middle East.

After a few days of silence, America launched a strong attack on Iran on Sunday. President Donald Trump has threatened to give a very strong response to any retaliatory attack.

Defying Trump’s threat, Iran targeted US troops in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates. IRGC spokesman Hussein Mohebi warned on Twitter that Washington would be punished severely.

Iran’s Tasnim news agency later said Iran’s military had launched military operations against US targets. What is important is that Iran has not opened the Strait of Hormuz. America’s retaliatory blockade of Iranian ports continues.

Two attacks on commercial tankers have been reported around the Strait of Hormuz in the last 48 hours. The ship then stopped at anchor about one nautical mile north-west of ‘Jazirat Umm Al Ghanem’.

The second incident involved UKMTO 124-26 (tanker). The tanker was attacked by three unidentified projectiles while exiting the strait about 17 nautical miles east of Khasab, Oman.

The attacks on tankers come as the US-Iran conflict enters a potentially more dangerous maritime phase. In response to Iranian threats, the US military has launched fresh attacks on Iranian radar and air defense systems and other military infrastructure.

The Houthi-controlled Foreign Ministry in Sanaa has issued a statement of solidarity with Tehran over the US attacks on Iran. In a statement carried by the Houthi-controlled Sabah news agency, the ministry said the US attacks would not weaken Iran’s resolve and that Tehran’s response was a legitimate right under international law.

The ministry accused the US of pushing the region towards tension and said Washington and its supporters are responsible for its consequences. They will have to pay the price for this.

Jordan said that many parts of the country were attacked by Iranian missiles. The Jordanian military said Wednesday morning that it had “faced a missile attack coming from Iranian territory.”

The Arab country’s military said it detected 13 ballistic missiles, 10 of which were intercepted and three fell in remote areas.

Although Iran’s state media claimed that American soldiers were killed in the attack on Jordan, a US official said this was not true.
