Manchester United have moved quickly in their pursuit of Leicester City youngster Louis Page as they work on a possible deadline-day transfer.
The highly rated 18-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season despite the former Premier League champions being relegated from the Championship last term.
The teenage midfielder could now make the switch to Old Trafford for a fee in excess of £10m after discussions between the two clubs gathered pace ahead of the transfer window deadline.
Page has represented England at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-20 level, and he is the son of former professional footballer Don Page.
Manchester United have already added significant reinforcements in midfield this summer, with Carlos Baleba, Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos all arriving to strengthen the options available to Michael Carrick.
