NCRTC signed a power agreement for a 110 MW captive solar plant to supply nearly 60 percent electricity needs of the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor. The Rs. 450 crore project in Uttar Pradesh will be developed by NIRL NCRTC Renewables Limited and is expected to be commissioned within 24 months, officials said.
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has signed a power purchase agreement for a 110 MW captive solar power plant that will supply nearly 60 percent of the electricity needs of the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor, according to an official statement.
Deal signed with NLC India arm
The agreement was signed with NIRL NCRTC Renewables Limited (NNRL), a joint venture between NCRTC and NLC India Limited, a central public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Coal. NLC India had earlier received the letter of acceptance from NCRTC for the project, four months after the tender was floated.
