1. Commercial LPG Cylinder becomes expensive

From September 1, oil companies have increased the price of Commercial LPG Cylinder by an average of Rs 11.50. In Kolkata, the price of 19 kg cylinder has increased from Rs 2,872.50 to Rs 2,884. The price of 5 kg LPG cylinder has also increased by Rs 2 to Rs 764.

However, there has been no change in the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG Cylinder. The cost of commercial cylinder can have an impact on restaurants, hotels and catering businesses. Due to this, the cost of tea, breakfast, thali and wedding catering is likely to increase.

2. Milk becomes costlier by Rs 9 per liter in Mumbai

Milk price in Mumbai has increased by Rs 9 per liter since September 1. According to Bombay Milk Producers Association, the price of bulk milk has increased from Rs 93 to Rs 102 per liter. This rate will remain applicable till 28 February 2027.

The purchase price of Aavin Milk in Tamil Nadu has also increased by Rs 3 per liter. It has increased from Rs 41 to Rs 44. This is the second increase in less than two weeks and the total increase is Rs 6 per liter. Increase in fodder, straw, cake, maintenance and transport costs has been cited as the reason behind this. Due to milk becoming expensive, the prices of curd, cheese and sweets can also be affected.

3. If there is no LPG e-KYC then there will be problem in subsidy.

The last date to get LPG e-KYC done was 31st August. Customers who have not yet done Biometric Verification may face difficulty in availing the benefits of LPG Subsidy. Whether gas booking will be affected or not will depend on the rules of the respective oil company. Such customers should contact their gas agency immediately.

4. Stamp on boarding pass for those going abroad ends

From September 1, there will be no need to get the boarding pass stamped at the Immigration Counter for passengers going abroad. Now the process has become digital and passengers will be able to show e-Boarding Pass on the phone. However, the rest of the rules of Passport, Visa and Security Check will remain applicable as before.

5. Tata-Hyundai cars are expensive

Tata Motors has increased the prices of all its models and variants by up to Rs 25,000. Whereas Hyundai Motor India has increased the prices by 1%. Commodity Prices, Operating Cost and Inflationary Pressure have been cited as the reasons for this. Those buying a new car or SUV must check the new price list before booking.

6. CNG and PNG prices increased in Mumbai

Mahanagar Gas Limited has increased the price of CNG in Mumbai by Rs 2 to Rs 88 per kg. Domestic PNG has also become costlier by Rs 1 per SCM. This will increase the cost of driving a vehicle and cooking food at home. Auto and taxi fares may also be affected in future.

7. Air travel can also be expensive

The price of ATF (Aviation Turbine Fuel) for domestic airlines has increased by 5.46%, i.e. Rs 6.28 per liter to Rs 121.28. This is the increase in ATF price for the second consecutive month. Due to increase in fuel cost, there may be pressure on air ticket prices in the coming days.
