Arun Bharti is the brother-in-law of Chirag Paswan. He is an MP from Jamui. This is a reserved seat for Scheduled Caste. Chirag Paswan himself won the election from Hajipur seat. Hajipur is also a reserved seat for Scheduled Caste. Shambhavi Chaudhary is the MP from Samastipur, it is a reserved seat. Veena Devi is MP from Vaishali. She comes from Rajput community. Among Chirag's MPs, 3 are from Scheduled Caste, one from OBC and one from general category.

5 Rajputs and 1 Brahmin each come from Bhumihar community. 7 MLAs are from OBC category. In Chirag Paswan's own party, despite the strong position of the Paswans, their representation is less. Of the 19 MLAs of Lok Janshakti Party (RV), 26.3 percent are Dalits, 36.8 percent are upper caste and 36.8 percent are OBC. Paswans' share in Dalit representation is 80 percent. The representation of Paswans in the party's legislative party is about 21.1 percent.
