Bollywood’s one of the fittest actors, Katrina Kaif, who is embracing motherhood, made a rare public appearance on August 25, 2025, at the last rites and funeral of filmmaker Kuku Kohli. She attended the funeral with her husband, actor Vicky Kaushal.

Soon after, several clips and pictures of the actress arriving at the venue with Vicky Kaushal went viral, with netizens brutally fat-shaming and body-shaming her.

Several users commented on the actor’s appearance, with some making insensitive remarks about her weight and looks.

One user wrote, “This is terrible, what happened to Katrina?” Another commented, “She looks like a rasgulla.”

The comments soon sparked criticism from others, with many calling out the body-shaming directed at the actress.

Actor Shivaleeka Oberoi has now come out in Katrina’s support and slammed people for body-shaming her.

Shivaleeka reacted to the excessive trolling on her Instagram Story, calling the comments “ridiculous”.

Shivaleeka Oberoi, known for her work in Khuda Haafizwrote, “Kya ho gaya hai, means?!?! This is motherhood! This is what normal postpartum recovery looks like – the good, the bad, the bloating, the exhaustion and everything in between.”

She added, “Stop glorifying a version of motherhood that doesn’t exist.”

Sharing the post, she also said, “After seeing multiple such posts in the last few days… can’t help but think how ridiculous the thought process is!”

Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time a celebrity has been slammed for post-pregnancy weight gain. Even Parineeti Chopra and Patralekhaa faced trolling after making public appearances, while Swara Bhasker continues to face criticism over her postpartum weight gain.
