Jaishankar's visit to Ukraine comes at a time when tensions and hostility have increased in the ongoing conflict between Kiev and Moscow. External Affairs Ministry said, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar will pay an official visit to Ukraine and the Republic of Poland from September 3 to 5. The ministry said that during this period, Jaishankar will hold bilateral talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrey Sibiha and Poland's Deputy Prime Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.
The main objective of the visit is to further strengthen bilateral relations with the two countries, the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement. It will also provide an opportunity to exchange views on regional developments and issues of mutual interest.
