The story of Hanuman Part appeared set to continue after the film crossed the ₹50 crore mark at the Indian box office. Director Vishal Chaturvedi had confirmed plans for the next chapter of the spiritual drama, which had been released on August 7.
Chaturvedi discussed the sequel during a recent interaction with audiences at a multiplex in Agra. He said the next film would cover more parts of Neem Karoli Baba’s life and would explore places connected to his journey.
The story was expected to begin with Firozabad, which was Neem Karoli Baba’s birthplace, before moving to Agra, Mathura and other locations linked to his life.
Plans for another instalment had been part of the project from the beginning. When Hanuman Ansh was announced on February 20, 2026, the makers had revealed that the story was being planned as a trilogy.
The film had been inspired by Divine Detour, a book written by Chaturvedi. Shobhinaw Satyaa had played the role of Neem Karoli Baba, while Chandan Anand, Purnima Tiwari and Vihaan Shedge had appeared in other key roles.
Hanuman Ansh box office collection
Hanuman Part had opened quietly after its August 7 release. The film had collected ₹10 lakh on its opening day and had reached only ₹1.40 crore during its first two weeks.
Its box-office performance had changed in the third week, when the film collected ₹10.40 crore. The fourth week had also recorded stronger numbers.
The film had registered its highest single-day collection of ₹12.75 crore on its 24th day. On day 26, it had collected ₹8.50 crore in a single day and had surpassed Yash’s Toxic in that day’s collection.
According to the reported figures, Hanuman Part had collected ₹54.74 crore net in India.
The film had also received a public mention from Indian actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut. Sharing a picture of Neem Karoli Baba on Instagram, she had written, “#hanumanansh is not a movie; it’s a satsang.”
She had further described the film as being built around stories of people who had first-hand experiences of Neem Karoli Baba.
With the sequel plans already discussed, the next instalment had been expected to continue the story around Neem Karoli Baba and the places connected to his life.
