Tezzbuzz Desk- Congress now seems to be taking another initiative to strengthen its hold among the youth. After the students, the party has now taken steps towards including Gen Z lawyers. The legal cell of Congress has started a pilot project for young lawyers. Its command has been given to the head of the party's legal department, Abhishek Manu Singhvi.

In this connection, Abhishek Manu Singhvi met Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday. During this, there was a discussion with young lawyers about the work of the party and connecting them with legal activities. According to sources, under this initiative, Congress Legal Cell has selected 10 young lawyers for internship. All of them will work with 10 Congress MPs.

Young lawyers will not be members of Congress

The special thing about this pilot project is that the young lawyers involved in it will not be members of Congress at present. According to sources, the responsibility of these lawyers will be to help Congress MPs in legal matters. If in future these youth agree with the policies and ideology of Congress, then they can take membership of the party.

The party plans to extend this system to all Congress MPs in future. This means that if the pilot project is successful, preparations can be made to connect more young lawyers with MPs.

The 15-20 minute meeting lasted about one and a quarter hour

According to sources, Abhishek Manu Singhvi had asked for about 15-20 minutes time from Rahul Gandhi to discuss this issue. However, after the talks started, the discussion became longer and the meeting lasted for about one and a quarter hour.

During this, Rahul Gandhi talked to young lawyers on many issues. He said that different ideas and criticism are also given space in Congress. Rahul also put forward his ideology by giving the example of Hinduism and said that there is room for different ideas there too.

Appeal to work for the poor and needy

Rahul Gandhi appealed to young lawyers to connect politics with the help of the poor, Dalits, tribals, minorities and oppressed people. He said that if the youth want to enter politics then they should work on the issues to these classes. He also asked the youth not to take membership of any political party at present and to take decisions based on their thinking in future.

Rahul also appealed to the young lawyers to devote some of their legal time to helping the poor and needy people.

Singhvi gave information on social media

Abhishek Manu Singhvi shared the information about this meeting by posting on social media platform X. He told that opposition leader Rahul Gandhi had talks with the Law, Human Rights and RTI Department of Congress as well as legal fellows.

According to Singhvi, during the conversation, promising young lawyers asked sharp questions. He said that the party's shared commitment towards the Constitution also came to the fore in this dialogue. This initiative of Congress has come at a time when Rahul Gandhi has been continuously raising issues to youth and is trying to increase the reach of the party among Gen Z.
