The deal for the Argentine midfielder is now in place. As reported, the two clubs finalised an agreement in the last few minutes for the transfer of the former World Cup-winning midfielder from the Blues to Enzo Maresca’s side. The Manchester City manager was keen to work with Enzo Fernandez again after their previous spell together at Chelsea.
The final round of negotiations between Manchester City and Chelsea over Enzo Fernandez was intense this morning. The Argentine midfielder had already given his approval to the move and had long since agreed personal terms with the Citizens. The transfer fee is understood to be €135 million.

During that time, he made 169 appearances and scored 31 goals, while also winning the Club World Cup and the Conference League. The Blues had signed him from Benfica for 121 million.
