Technology Desk: Xiaomi has launched its new washing machine in China. It has been named Mijia Mini Twin-Tub Washer-Dryer 5kg. The specialty of this machine is that it has two separate drums. With this, users can wash different types of clothes together, but the clothes will not mix with each other.

The company has kept its price at 3,499 yuan (about Rs 50 thousand). Currently it has been made available for pre-order in China.

5kg capacity divided into two drums

This washing machine has a total washing capacity of 5kg. It is divided into two drums and both have a capacity of 2.5-2.5kg. That means users can wash children's clothes in one drum and adults' clothes in the other.

Both drums have the facility to dry clothes up to 1.5kg. In this way the total drawing capacity of the machine becomes 3kg. Separate water and drawing channels are provided for both the drums. Its advantage is that water from one drum does not flow into the other drum.

Spin speed of 1,200 RPM

This machine of Xiaomi has a direct-drive motor. This motor gives a maximum spin speed of 1,200 RPM. This helps in removing water from clothes.

The machine is also provided with two separate 150ml auto-dosing dispensers for detergent. The machine decides the requirement of detergent according to the quantity of clothes. This avoids using excess detergent. According to the company, a full dispenser can last for about a month in normal use.

34 wash program

A total of 34 different wash programs are provided in this washing machine. These include different options for stains like coffee, soil and makeup.

For small clothes, it has a Quick Wash-and-Dry mode of 40 minutes. At the same time, 40°C low-temperature drying mode is also available for delicate fabrics like silk. Currently, Xiaomi has launched this washing machine in China. No information has yet been revealed by the company regarding its launch in India.
