Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN), crores of small and marginal farmers of the country are provided financial support. A total of ₹6,000 is sent annually by the Central Government in three equal installments of ₹2,000 every four months directly into the bank accounts of farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The last 23rd installment was successfully sent to the accounts of farmers on 20 June 2026. Now beneficiary farmers across the country are eagerly waiting for their 24th installment (August–November cycle). When will the 24th installment come: Probable time frame As per the prescribed four-month calendar of PM Kisan Yojana (April-July, August-November and December-March), the 24th installment is highly likely to be released around the festive season (Dussehra-Diwali) in October 2026. However, the official date for releasing the installment will be formally announced by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare a few days before the event. Last time, an amount of more than ₹18,880 crore was transferred to more than 9.44 crore farmers. For which farmers the money of 24th installment can be stopped? Even if you are an eligible beneficiary of the scheme, an amount of ₹2,000 may be stuck in your account due to technical or documentary deficiencies. According to the Agriculture Department, these categories of farmers are at the highest risk of getting their installments stuck: 1. Incomplete e-KYC: The government has made e-KYC 100% mandatory to prevent fraud and middlemen. Those farmers who have not yet completed their e-KYC through OTP, biometric or face authentication on the portal, their money will be stopped directly. 2. Aadhaar and NPCI DBT not linked to bank account: PM Kisan's money goes only to that bank account which is seeded (Aadhaar Seeded) from National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) for DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). Many farmers' bank accounts are linked to Aadhaar, but DBT mapping is not activated. In such a situation the transaction fails. 3. Land Seeding Verification is pending: It is necessary to have the verification of agricultural land (Land Seeding) in the name of the farmer in the revenue records of the state. If your status on the portal shows 'Land Seeding – NO', the installment will not be paid. 4. Ineligibility (Exclusion Criteria) and multiple applications from one family: If both husband and wife in the family are taking separate installments, or any member is an Income Tax payee, constitutional office holder or former government employee receiving monthly pension more than ₹ 10,000, then such accounts are being identified and declared ineligible and blocked. Check your Beneficiary Status instantly To ensure your installment, check the status from your mobile at home: Visit the official portal of PM Kisan pmkisan.gov.in. By going to 'Farmers Corner' on the homepage "Know Your Status" Click on. Enter your registration number and captcha code (if you do not remember the registration number, go to 'Know Your Registration Number' and enter the Aadhaar number). Fill the OTP received on mobile and click on 'Get Data'. Notice three things carefully on the screen: e-KYC Status: Must be 'YES'. Aadhaar Bank Account Seeding Status: Should be 'YES'. Land Seeding: Must be 'YES'. If there is a green tick and 'YES' written in front of these three, then your 24th installment will be deposited directly into the account without any interruption. If any column is 'NO', then immediately contact your nearest Common Service Center (CSC), bank branch or block agriculture nodal officer and get it rectified.
