IND vs AFG T20 Series: Afghanistan cricket team is fully prepared to play 3-match T20 series with India. The first, second and third T20 International match is going to be played between India and Afghanistan on 13, 15 and 15 respectively. All three matches between these two teams will be played at the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in Delhi. All these matches will start from 7:00 pm. For these matches, Afghanistan captain Ibrahim Zadran and India captain Shreyas Iyer will come for the toss at 6:30.
Before this series between India and Afghanistan, the old problem is going to arise again for Team India. Now once again the headache is going to increase for Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir and the team management. Because from where the trouble started, it has now come back to the same place. We are talking about who will open for India now.
Who will open for Team India?
Abhishek Sharma is a fixed opening batsman for Team India. Abhishek is a left handed batsman. Now who will be the second opener for Team India? This question is arising again. The team includes Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who is a left-handed opening batsman. Sanju Samson has also been kept in the team, who is a right-handed opening batsman.
Sanju Samson was selected by Gautam Gambhir and Shreyas Iyer in the Ireland series. Due to this, Vaibhav Suryavanshi had to sit outside. After this, Sanju Samson was dropped for playing Vaibhav Suryavanshi in the England series. After Vaibhav's bat was not working, Sanju was made to open again in England.
After this Sanju Samson was dropped from the Zimbabwe series. After this, the question of who would open was ended and Vaibhav Suryavanshi performed brilliantly in the Zimbabwe series. Now once again Sanju Samson is back for the Afghanistan series. Now the same old situation has arisen again, who will open the innings with Abhishek Sharma for Team India. Sanju Samson or Vaibhav Suryavanshi?
Now when Abhishek Sharma, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Sanju Sammons, all three are present in the series against Afghanistan. So Indian cricket team captain Shreyas Iyer and head coach Gautam Gambhir will have to decide who they want to open the innings. He wants a combination of left and right hands or he wants to open the innings with both left-handed batsmen.
As an opening batsman for Team India, Vaibhav has scored 193 runs with 2 half-centuries in 6 matches. His best score has been 81. Whereas Sanju has scored 1432 runs for India in 66 T20 matches with 3 centuries and 6 half-centuries.
