Haryana GST Collection : Haryana has made a major achievement in the field of Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection. In the first five months of the current financial year, the State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) collection has registered an increase of 29 percent, which is the highest in the country.
The SGST collection of the state has increased to Rs 24,662 crore in the period from April to August 2026. In the same period of the last financial year, this figure was Rs 19,174 crore.
Big jump in revenue in August also
Haryana received revenue of Rs 4,982 crore from SGST in August 2026. This is 21 percent more than August last year. The economic activities of the state and better tax management are considered to be the main reasons for this increase.
Big contribution despite less taxpayers
The special thing about Haryana is that the state’s share in the total GST taxpayers of the country is less than 4 percent. Despite this, Haryana’s contribution to the total GST collection of the country is about 7.7 percent. This achievement of the state is being linked to industrial development, business activities and strong revenue administration.
