Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced its car sales figures for August 2026. Toyota sold a total of 32,842 vehicles in the month of August, including domestic sales of 28,410 vehicles and exports of 4,432 vehicles. Although sales in August were down slightly from last year, Toyota's overall performance this year remains strong.

Domestic sales this year declined by 3 percent to 28,410 units compared to 29,302 units in August 2025. This sales is also low compared to 30,516 units in July 2026. However, in the eight months from January to August 2026, Toyota sold a total of 2,66,696 vehicles, a 10% increase compared to 2,41,733 units in the same period in 2025.

Toyota's first plant in Bidadi produces the Innova HiCross, Innova Crysta, Fortuner and Legend cars, while the second plant produces the Urban Cruiser Highrider, Hilux and Camry Hybrid. The company has expressed the belief that the demand for vehicles will increase on a large scale during the upcoming festivals.

Toyota is all set to launch the Innova Hicross facelift in the Indian market soon to boost its sales. The new model can get a more aggressive front grille, bigger infotainment screen, new upholstery and updated technology. It is likely to retain the current 2.0-litre petrol and strong-hybrid engine.
