Kolkata TMC Office Attack: Kolkata. Trinamool Congress national general secretary and MP Abhishek Banerjee has alleged attack on the party office located on Camac Street, Kolkata. According to him, some armed people entered the party office around 4:30 am on Thursday. It is alleged that the attackers beat up the workers present there and vandalized the office. After the incident, Abhishek Banerjee has also shared CCTV footage on social media.
Abhishek accused BJP
Abhishek Banerjee posted the video of the incident on social media platform X. He alleged that the attackers were people associated with BJP. According to him, people snatched the phones of party workers. The furniture kept in the office was damaged. The premises were also vandalized and electronic equipment was damaged. Abhishek described this incident as a serious attack on law and order.

The TMC leader said that the incident raises the question as to how much fear of the law is left in the minds of criminals. He said that violence by entering a political party’s office in the middle of a city like Kolkata with weapons is a serious matter. Abhishek has demanded the administration to take the matter seriously and take strict action against the culprits.
Questions on the role of Kolkata Police
Abhishek Banerjee also raised questions on the police action during the incident. He claimed that the police was continuously given information through phone and email by the activists and lawyers. Despite this, no effective response was received from the police for about two hours. He described this situation as extremely worrying and demanded an investigation into the role of the police.
Asked- How did someone enter the office with weapons?
The TMC MP questioned that if armed people can enter the office of a political party in the morning and assault and vandalize it, then what is the point of rule of law in the state. He said that such incidents raise questions about security among common people also. He demanded an impartial investigation from the administration into the incident.
Demand for immediate arrest of the culprits
Abhishek Banerjee has demanded immediate arrest of those involved in the attack. He said that no political party or armed group can be considered above the law. He also demanded the administration to find out who planned the alleged attack. He also asked to investigate why despite receiving the information, timely action was not taken by the police.
Demand for investigation based on CCTV footage
The CCTV footage that emerged after the incident can be considered important in the investigation. While sharing the footage, Abhishek Banerjee has demanded the administration to identify the accused and take action against them. Now the police investigation and further action in this matter will be monitored. There is a possibility of intensifying allegations and counter-allegations in the politics of West Bengal regarding the incident.
