JKSSB has announced a major recruitment drive for MTS posts. Through this recruitment, 2,863 Class IV posts will be filled. Eligible candidates can apply online until November 3, 2026. Selection will be based on a written examination and document verification.

**Opportunity for 8th and 10th Pass Candidates**
For the Class IV (MTS) posts in the JKSSB MTS Recruitment 2026, candidates are required to have passed at least the 10th standard. Meanwhile, the minimum qualification for the post of Safaiwala (Sweeper) is an 8th-standard pass. The maximum educational qualification for both posts is 10+2.

To be eligible, candidates must be residents of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. The age limit is 18 to 40 years as of January 1, 2026. Candidates must fulfill all eligibility criteria and submit their applications by November 3, 2026.

**Application Fee**
For the JKSSB MTS Recruitment 2026, candidates belonging to the General, OBC, ALC/IB, and RBA categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹600. For candidates in the SC, ST-1, ST-2, EWS, and PwBD categories, the application fee is ₹500.

How will the selection take place?
Selection for the JKSSB MTS recruitment will be based on a written examination and document verification. The allocation of marks differs for UT, Divisional, and District cadres.

Exam Pattern
The JKSSB MTS exam may be conducted in offline (OMR) or online mode. It will consist of multiple-choice questions, and the medium of the exam will be English only. A deduction of 1/4 mark will be made for every incorrect answer. The exam syllabus will be released separately on the official JKSSB website.
