In the meeting, along with reviewing the progress of the projects operated under the scheme, new projects proposed for the financial year 2026-27 were discussed. The Chief Secretary directed the concerned departments and institutions to complete all the approved projects within the stipulated time. Asked to pay special attention to the quality of works, financial discipline and effective monitoring along with ensuring 100 percent utilization of funds released in the financial year 2026-27. He said that maximum benefits of the schemes should reach the farmers of the state.

He directed the officers to properly test the project proposals before submitting them, so that unnecessary amendments do not arise after approval and the works can be completed on time.

Rs 101.13 crore for old projects

Rs 2.78 crore was sanctioned to increase the production capacity of nine integrated pest management laboratories of the Agriculture Department.

A project worth Rs 3.71 crore was approved for the construction of a new integrated pest management laboratory and soil testing laboratory building in Deoria and a project worth Rs 2.60 crore was approved for the construction of a soil testing laboratory building in Lakhimpur Kheri.

Emphasis on agricultural training and horticulture development

For training of agricultural extension officers and employees and organizing farmer-scientist dialogue and agricultural pilgrimage programs through agricultural universities and agricultural science centres. In the meeting, Principal Secretary Agriculture Ravindra informed that under the State Agricultural Development Scheme for the financial year 2026-27, Outlay of Rs 500 crore is approved, whereas an amount of Rs 200 crore is approved in the budget provision.
