Noida/Lucknow. The state government has intensified its preparations towards developing Uttar Pradesh as a global textile centre. In this series, 'U.P.' organized by the Department of Handloom and Textile Industry. Curtain raiser and road show will be organized in Noida on Thursday before the 'Tax-2026' conference. Through this, the industry will be made aware of the possibilities of textile industry in the state, investment opportunities and government policies.
Regional Assistant Commissioner (Handloom), Handloom and Textile Industry, Western Region Meerut/Saharanpur Division Arvind Kumar Singh said that 'U.P. The main conference of 'Tax-2026' will be held on 8th and 9th September at Jupiter Hall, Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow. The conference will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Road show in Noida today at 11 am
The curtain raiser and road show before the main conference will be held in Noida on September 3 at 11 am. The program will be led by Rakesh Sachan, Minister of Khadi and Village Industries, Silk Industry, Handloom and Textiles of Uttar Pradesh Government.
Through the road show, entrepreneurs, investors and other stakeholders associated with the textile and apparel industry will be informed about the objectives and outline of the conference. Besides, the possibilities of investment and expansion of the industry in the textile sector in Uttar Pradesh will also be highlighted.
Preparation to bring global investors on one platform
'U.P. 'Tax-2026' is being seen as an important platform for the textile industry of the state. The conference will bring together policy makers, global investors, textile manufacturers, exporters and innovators from the textile industry on one platform.
During this, issues to expansion of textile sector in the state, attracting investment and increasing export capacity will be discussed. Topics such as global investment, production, exports, innovation and conducive business environment for the industry are expected to be at the center of the conference.
Emphasis on connecting handloom heritage with modern textile industry
The state government aims to integrate the traditional handloom and handicraft heritage of Uttar Pradesh with the modern textile industry. Through this, work is being done to establish the state as a strong textile manufacturing and export center at the global level.
Emphasis is also being laid on establishing better coordination between the government and the industry, so that investment possibilities can be realized.
Hope for new opportunities from investment to employment
Various topics to the textile industry will be discussed in the two-day main conference. The government hopes that through this initiative new opportunities for investment, production, export and employment will be created in the state.
