Traffic advisory in Chandigarh

Chandigarh. The festival of Janmashtami is being celebrated with great pomp across the country. On this occasion, traffic will be affected due to religious programs in major temples of the city. Keeping this situation in mind, the traffic police has made changes in the traffic. This decision has been taken in view of the possible crowd of devotees and increasing number of vehicles on the road during the programs.

Special arrangements are being made to control traffic in Punjab, Chandigarh and other major places. This arrangement will be applicable from 12 noon on 4th September till 1 am on 5th September. The traffic police has appealed to the drivers out on the road to avoid the affected routes during this time. If travel is necessary, get information about alternative routes in advance. The objective of the police is to maintain smooth traffic during religious events and to protect the devotees from any kind of trouble.

Traffic arrangement around ISKCON temple

A grand program is organized on the occasion of Janmashtami in the ISKCON temple located in Sector-36, Chandigarh. In view of the huge crowd of devotees coming here, the traffic police has made special arrangements. Vehicular movement will be controlled on the roads leading to the temple. Traffic will be controlled on a section of South Road.

Traffic management in Sector-20

The Traffic Police has issued special orders keeping in mind the programs organized in various temples in Sector-20 on the occasion of Janmashtami. In view of the rush of devotees, traffic will be controlled from Sector-20/21 Light Point to Sector-20/30 Light Point.
