It is being said that this action against Konda Surekha has been taken after the meeting with the Congress high command in Delhi. To resolve the matter, Congress had sent Konda Surekha to Delhi on Tuesday. Apart from the Telangana Pradesh Congress President, several leaders including Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Deputy CM were present to attend the meeting.
The TPCC disciplinary committee had submitted its report to the state Congress president on August 25. It is believed that the committee had recommended the removal of Surekha from the cabinet. Action against Surekha was recommended over her daughter's comments, which were considered damaging to the party and its leadership.
